it sounds as though the connection has failed,
causing the PC to loop (chase it's own tail!)
probably something like a DLL linked to it
getting 'cleaned up' in error;have you uninstalled
anything recently? Failing this find the latest version
of the Mobsync program,newer versions often have patches
and extra features. If this misbehaves,go 'retro' visit 
oldversions.com older versions are often very small
compared to the latest knobs and whistles versions.
As it says 'newer is not necessarily better'.
