However, as a developer and user of open-sourced software which works, I take offense at the implication that the only way one can get working software is to pay for it. That said, The zealots who claim OSS is always better are just as wrong as the fools who think that high costs automatically gives better solutions. Both have some shining examples of turds which people inexplicably continue to buy based soly on cost (or perceived lack therof). I'm pointing directly at Apache (OSS) v/s IIS (the closed-source cause behind a couple years worth of networks being periodically shut down by worms) here, and glancing at Redhat for the OSS overhyped turd award. http://news.netcraft.com/ - the top 5 most reliable hosts on the Internet all run Apache, and the top 4 run on OSS hosts.
