Really though, while the spec is certainly dry it does appear to be complete and clear. All in all I thought it was well written for what it is. On a bigger point, why does everyone have the attitude that this must be done by someone else. Clearly *someone* has to understand and implement this stuff. To me this prevailing attitude is even more motivation to do it myself because I'll end up with something more rare and therefore valuable in the end.
