A company who saw the writing on the wall incorporated the name "NZ 
Telecom" when Telecom was about to be formed from a portion of the old 
"NZ Post Office"   The traded under that name and were able to show 
that they suffered business damage from "telecom corporation of NZ" 
using a name similar to theirs. They ultimately settled for an unknown 
sum - probably in the millions of dollars range. That was long before 
internet domain name squatting became an issue and is probably what 
Jinx was recalling. (I worked for 'Telecom' at the time.)
