The dust gets sucked up by the vacuum, too, which is comforting. It's not THAT different, but I guess I agree that doing something similar with a handheld tool would be pretty awful... Not enough people are agreeing with the 'use thin board and tinsnip or "penny cutting scissors' method. That works quite nicely. (although by the time your boards are that thin, I imagine a lot of things work pretty well.)
