Nothing was in the ZIF socket. Note that this is not a big deal -- I'll just continue to use the ICD2 to program 30F chips. But I'd really like to see an lower-priced alternative to the ICD2, and I think the EasyProg fits that bill. I have recommended it to a couple of people who know that I have been working with the 30F family, and I pretty much assumed that everything worked as advertised without ever actually using it myself (on a 30F chip -- I've used it on other chips, of course, and it works fine.
