I will keep these suggestions in mind. This is an academic exercise for me with the goal of learning Linux to a comfortable level. I have an AMD-2000/Asus system set aside for the project. The hard drive is pluggable so it is easy for me to put Knoppix/Debian on the shelf while I wander off with the SuSE direction for a while. I ordered a SuSE 10.0 CD set including a training program for about $30 from Amazon and it is looking good so far. The YAST application looks like it will be helpful in getting me going. Novell's business plan is attractive to the hobby/student user. John Ferrell http://DixieNC.US ----- Original Message ----- From: "Danny Sauer" To: "Microcontroller discussion list - Public."
