I got some specifications for a Meridian system, and they use something called a two-wire TCM (time-compression multiplexed) loop at 512kbps. What I'm investigating is the possibility of detecting on/off hook no matter what system. It should be possible, I remember one recording device that could be plugged to any major PBX [digital] system and it would capture the voice data from there. But I could be completely wrong.
