Unfortunately I can't find a supplier for it > >including Maxim It's on their site http://www.maxim-ic.com/quick_view2.cfm/qv_pk/3696 Have you requested a couple of samples ? As the DS1388 is a new device, it may be difficult to get it from anywhere but Maxim at this stage, unless you indent a quantity. If you can't get samples (unlikely, as the DS1388 is fairly low-priced), you would be better to look around for the older models, DS1307 etc and I'm sure most of the major suppliers (RS, Mouser, Digikey) would have it The latest newsletter I got from Maxim included - the DS3232, "World's Most Accurate RTC Integrates TCXO ......". Better than +/- 1min/year they say www.maxim-ic.com/ds3232rtc Also DS3231 www.maxim-ic.com/ds3231rtc MAX6916/6917, includes uP superviser, SRAM www.maxim-ic.com/MAX6917rtc and the DS1388, 512x8 EEPROM (!!!) There are quite a few alternatives. Maxim list about 20. As Martin suggested, Philips have devices like the PCF8593 http://www.semiconductors.philips.com/pip/PCF8593P.html -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
