I had one which I was running three 300watt bulbs and two fluorescent
shop light fixtures off of.  It had teh same problem after a while -
though all I wanted was a remote off for when I forgot to do so when I
went inside so it was fine.  I replaced it when I noticed how hot the
metal coverplate and box were getting. :)

--Danny, who now just leaves teh lights on at night if he forgets :(
