Earthlink's spam stopper thing works that way, IIRC, and they still
have a few customers. :)

I don't use whitelisting precisely *because* it irritates me when I
send someone email and get that darned auto-response.  That, and
sometimes I need to get a new job and I don't know the address of
the person who'll be telling me they want to give me money to come
work for them.
