Heard about it with the Motorola 6811 and Hitachi 6811 (equivalents),=20 but that was a while back concerning EEPROMs. Also heard Microchip had=20 trouble with it's 1st flash versions which is why Atmel had a large=20 lead on flash parts but I don't know if that is or was true and have=20 nothing to back that up with. I experienced this with Atmel devices 89c51 on a very simple hardware = designed by third party provider of the company I used to work. They wo= rked ok until 'some day' where the program memory surprisingly got erase= d. Reprogramming solved the problem 'always'. =20 Then I assume it was a problem with the FLASH of the Microcontroller or= with the Power Circuit (but it was a 12V Vicor power supply with a 7805= whit its capacitors). =20 =20 =20 =20 Regarding the topic, I never experienced this kind of problems with a P= IC of any kind. =20 =09 --------------------------------- 1GB gratis, Antivirus y Antispam Correo Yahoo!, el mejor correo web del mundo Abr=ED tu cuenta aqu=ED --=20 http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
