Massachusetts had a small fleet of DC3s at least a few years ago. I remember them mentioning that on the radio once when discussing spraying against mosquitos that were causing eastern equine encephalitis. > How many other high technologies are still in active service at that > age? Plenty, but I guess it depends on what you call "high technology". Being able to produce fire on demand must have been pretty high tech and way cool 30000 years ago. Steam engines and their modern derivatives were the leading edge of technology not that long ago, and modern engines are still at the leading edge of technology. This list goes on. AM radio, broadcast television, color television (now that was a really clever and high tech enhancement to B+W television in my opinion), automobiles, the transistor. Some of these are a bit newer than powered flight, but are also expected to be around for a while. ****************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, (978) 742-9014. #1 PIC consultant in 2004 program year. http://www.embedinc.com/products -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
