Some of the original old beam pump engines that were used for pumping water
out of mines, and for supplying city water here in the UK, would match that.

But what I think is the amazing part of the B52 life time, is that it is
PLANNED as being in service as a design for a full century. OK that may well
not have been the plan when originally designed, but it is the current plan,
because the costs of developing a replacement is so huge, and they are so
d***ed good at the job they do.
