Once i used 74AC04 parallelled inverters as drivers for very small brushless motor. Very cheap and low voltage loss, usable between 2 and 7 Volts (depending on manufacturer). Look in manufacturers spec. Note the very fast switching might lead to radiated EMI. Another idea is to look at bus drivers. I remember also looking at rail-rail output OP-amps. A few have strong output. Alos look at headphone drivers.
