Check out Microchip Forum MPALB section and ICD2 section. Generally speaking MPLAB 7.22 runs more smooth and they fixed quite some bugs. However MPLAB 7.22 is causing problems with ICD2 when debugging 18F USB chips at 48MHz core clock. There may be problems with other PIC chips as well. At home I am using MPLAB 7.22 under Win XP SP2 without obvious problems. At work I always use the stable version (V7.10 now). I actually want to use V7.20. However. since I need to call the administrators to install most of the software at work, I normally do not bother to update the software as long as it is working. ;-) Regards, Xiaofan -----Original Message----- From: piclist-bounces@mit.edu Sent: Tuesday, November 22, 2005 12:26 PM To: Microcontroller discussion list - Public. Subject: [PIC] MPLAB 7.22 and Windows '98 SE subject: [PIC] MPLAB 7.22 and Windows '98 SE I was unable to find information about MPLAB 7.22. I have downloaded it to my HDD. I currently use MPLAB 7.21 with a very recent Microchip MPLAB ICD2 and the Microchip PIC dem HPC Explorer board and PIC18F8722 MCU. Everything works very well. Is there any advantage to 7.22?
