I am not so familiar with the computer-stuff from LEGO and Fischertechnik. When I started with Fischertechnik about 36 years ago (damned I am old ...), everything was real mechanik, motors and gearboxes and a lot of fantasy. I am still working with Fischertechnik to build up mechanical samples of bigger arangements. This is also done at several technical universities here in Germany. But when I compare Fischertechnik with the LEGO of my junior today, I would think, that LEGO is nice for playing. But to learn about mechanics, I think Fischertechnik is the better way. I think, LEGO just have to much preformed parts, just driving the kids in a direction. Fischertechnik just gives us much more freedom to bring up and realize kids fantasy. Last week he get a first hand on my Fischertechnik and I think, it was the longest time mine ;-) Ok, I need some new toys ... Any ideas?
