Just an idea: Sort of _FREELANCE_ job site based on PICList.

I've got some ASP.NET / MS SQL server experience and I think, I can
develop code for the site on my own. That is I can invest my time as
developer in the project.

I'd see four players here (I'm open to discussion):
- me as code developer;
- James as list owner;
- some person representing EE spirit of the list, gathering and
generating ideas, say Olin;
- the board of top list EE contributors (including RM);

I can't work full time now, but I hope I could spend considerable
amount of time on the project. At the beginning the host could be some
free ASP.NET / SQL server host, perhaps

Why not try it, nobody lose anything, but time on discussion. Anyway
that's much better than wasting time on lengthy political discussions.

The project should not be "open source". The code besides me is meant
to be available to James and Olin. Should the project ever make a
profit, the profit will be distributed between mentioned 4 players.

I'd suggest that the site should not be purely job dedicated site, but
also should be free EE educational and consulting site (free to some
reasonable extent). The free consulting activity of each EE developer
should be tracked down and ranked up to let a potential customer
better make his mind about who's the person he is considering for his
project.

The knowledge base should also be maintained to ease the consulting
and developing process. Contributions to the knowledge base should
contain contributor's Id to increase contributor's points when used.
