Almost a year later this question comes up again, for a project in which I am partly involved. In your comment you say: "...from such a heart rate receiver...". Do you mean that there already was (is) a receiver that you could add your solution to? So you didn't have to make the receiver as well? If I've got you right, where can one get this receiver?
