Yep, the reason I was looking into this, was that I got hold of a batch of touchpads originaly ment to be mounted in som IBM laptop. The touchpad wakes up as a standard mouse using rellative x/y coords, but can be programmed to switch to absolute mode (you get an absolute x/y coord of where the finger is placed). I thought of writing some "host-side" code to a PIC to see what could be done with them.
