Yeah, having one or more jets clogged each time ("occasionally") I want to use the printer is very annoying. I recently bought an HP 2600N color laser printer, at least partially on that basis (no clogging of inkjets! Yeah!) It was about $350, and includes an ethernet connection so that it can be shared easily between my multiple systems. (This replaced an aging HP LJ5MP whose (localtalk) network connection recently broke. Somewhere in the mac->printer path... I either wanted color or duplex from the new laserprinter, and color turned out to be cheaper (!)) We'll see how I feel about it when the cartridges empty and it's time to replace them (about $320 for a full set... Ouch.) So far, so good. It's noticeably quicker putting out that first page than the 5MP was...
