I wasn't aware they made any that really worked for NIMH. 
The trickle rate on the ones I've seen is way too high.

1C is the "sweet spot" in charging typical NIMH cells. 
0.5C - 2C is ok. Outside that, the end of charge signals (delta V, delta
T) get indistinct and hard to pick up.
