Thanks Mark, Robert, Mike. I get the idea. I used a 3 conducter (plus shield) cable to connect the DVD recorder with the remote TV, and am using the 3 rd conductor to send back IR remote signals back to the DVD; in short, I can watch, and control the DVD from both locations now.
