In a large company, all the resumes in the 'pile' will be scanned for keywords and only those with matching keywords will be forwarded to the hiring managers for closer inspection. Your keyword section should contain all your appropriate acronyms, *and* their full text expansion. Once we were specifically looking for someone with DSP experience, and HR wasn't coming up with any good candidates. When we started looking at the same files ourselves, we found a guy who practically wrote the DSP book, only on his resume, he had always said "Digital Signal Processing", never "DSP". HR had never connected the two.
