The Ardennes surely are nice, and some of the small old towns in Flanders are too. But Belgium is not a true country. For each political party we know in compareable countries it has 3: one for Flanders, one for Wallonia, and one for Brussels. For each government agency (including prime-ministers etc) it has up to 4: the three I mentioned, plus one for the country. Italy is in some way likewise. Nothern Italy has more in common with for instance Germany than it has with southern Italy. I am just citing a friend from the northern part.
