Consumers seem to buy on shortest charge time rating and don't take into account how this might hurt the cells. The best thing is to look at the data sheet and make or buy a charger that follows the recommended charging routine. I made a PIC controlled NiMH charger for 3-cell 400mAH packs a few years ago. It worked great on those packs, but were something like 4-5 different discharge/charge phases. Properly charging NiMH cells is more complicated than for most other battery types. ****************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, (978) 742-9014. #1 PIC consultant in 2004 program year. http://www.embedinc.com/products -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
