For a one off demo unit, if the size of the display surrounds etc is 
not too critical, then a Toshiba Libretto can work wonders. Old, 
cheap, marvellous. Talk to them via RS232. Completely different from 
the finished product so it depends which part of the system the 
demonstration is meant to emphasise.
