Appropos of not very much at all, by far the longest PICList tgread 
this year seems to have been

    [OT] Re: [EE] Languages, was Bug in Microchip mcc18 std library?

with around 200 postings.
By comparison 'summer vacation' managed only about half as many (blame 
James :-) ) and New Orleans about 75%. Few others came close.

This despite the apparent tendency for OT threads to drivel on 
interminably.

Someone may have or care to write an analyser (can't think why :-) ). 
James may alrready have these stats.
