When I do this sort of thing at work, I use a 3dB coupler which is automatically dc blocked (as long as you use the right ports!), which splits the RF signal 50:50 between the analyser and the reciever. You can also get splitters made to split domestic satalite LNBs in the same sort of way, and I would imagine that only one port of these would pass DC.
