Indeed, something like an ECS K7S5A Pro with SIS chipset would run DDR 
and SDR but on an AMD cpu.

ASUS CUSL or TUSL with intel 815 chipset were solid boards but used SDRAM.

The Asus CUV266, on the other hand, uses the Via Apollo Pro266 chipset. 
It uses DDR RAM. No experience with this board.

you might be stuck with VIA chipset?
