This is two topics actually.
 
1. Looking for a low cost, low power, 24 bits of I/O and internal EEPROM.  Looks like the F913 can fit the bill, other than the LCD driver stuff that wont be used.  Any comments on this device from those that have used it?
 
2. Interfacing with a serial EEPROM (I need more than 256 bytes).  Whats been easier/better...I2C or SPI?
