You can see it trying if you have anything like Zone Alarm. I believe they got in trouble a few years ago for being too aggressive - ISTR it might have been in conjunction with doubleclick. I've used RP for a long time and it's fine. The s/w that appears to cause more trouble on the family's computers is the likes of Gator, Kazaa and some MSN.
