A new version of firmware is now available for the EasyProg PIC programmer (http://www.embedinc.com/products) that supports all the current 30F parts. Due to the size of the 30F programming code, this version of firmware has support for the 12 bit core and 18F parts removed. Anyone wishing to go back and forth will need a second 16F648A, which is a good idea anyway to allow upgrading the firmware to newer versions. The firmware with 30F support also contains 16F support so that it is possible to program a 16F648A with either version. The firmware with 30F support is considered an alternate version, and new EasyProg kits and assembled units will continue to be shipped with the latest mainstream version. The new firmware is available at http://www.embedinc.com/picprg/sw.htm. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
