Depending on what you want to accomplish, you might also try out "tomsrtbt" from http://www.toms.net This boots from a single floppy and runs entirely from ramdisk, and includes a bunch of tools generally aimed at disk repair and system recovery. It's not really intended as a general purpose distribution, but if you're doing something like an embedded system and just want an OS with some basic capabilities, it might be sufficient. (and it's an amazing amount of stuff they manage to cram on a single floppy!)
