Problem is, I can't find any decent references on transformer design, nor can I find any 2:1 or 1:1 transformers that can handle the current required. I suppose I could wind one myself.. the problem being working out how many turns of wire were needed, how thick the wire needs to be and what sort of core/bobbin I need to use.
