Oh well, it was an idea. Your amp modules sound a whole lot more fun and definitely more efficient than attenuating outputs with L-Pads. I'll just keep this on the "down-low" so my dad doesn't find out I'm building yet another non-tube amp. All of my stuff has been solid state since the 80's and he's still talking the "tube" talk. It took me quite some time to find those A-430's for him let me tell you and yes they weigh a lot. He's big on physics, chem and math with the education to back it up. I don't stand a chance debating the merits of one over the other when it gets to the molecular level and... His "hi-fi" system does sound fantastic. On the parts front, I can scrounge with the best of them and do have an advantage when it comes to heatsinks. I know two machinists. One works with steel the other with aluminum. I have a really nice header and exhaust on my motorcycle thanks to them and many other bits and pieces were made for cars over the years. I'll have to dig through your modular amp thread. Thanks!
