I have dozens of clusters of 17 SX's, each running with 50 Mhz resonators, all synchronized to each other to a single 20 nano-second instruction. Each of the SX's in any cluster can run different application software, but a tiny 12 or so byte synchronizing task runs under interrupt in each one. The processors within any cluster are interconnected with a single data line.
