Hey Folks,

I've been looking around for info about SDCC. Apparently it supports the 18-series of PICs now. I've browsed through the archives a bit, but the archive interface is a little weird, and there's so many posts about SDCC that it's hard to see the forest for the trees, and find what's up-to-date, and what's not. 

Does anybody here actively use SDCC, and/or know of anywhere I could find info about it? The SDCC manual is full of info, but I'm looking for something more like examples with explanations (easier for me to learn). I'm fairly with-it as far as programming PICs (in assembly) go, I'm just looking for something more high-level to use for the project I'm working on (Parallel ATA Interface, eventually with FAT and CD-ROM support, on a pic18f458). I haven't programmed in C in a while, but I took it at school, and understand the jist of things.
