It is obvious why sea of holes is favored in the USA

Americans pride themselves on individualism and see
stripboards as some kind of socialism or communism.

The fact that most Americans don't realize they live in an
[1] anti-communistic state makes life in the USA a great big
inside joke.



[1]  the opposite of communism.  From each, according to
how much can be bled out short of death;  To each, according
to the reach of their grasp and level of villainy.
