As the subject line suggests.

In particular, with an eye towards distribution
amongst doctoral degree level students on a
fairly wide scale (100+ per year), so battery
life and durability are a concern (although
durability is less a concern than with, say,
15-18 year-old students).

Our current vendor will remain unnamed, but
delivered the 60 ordered this year 1 month
late and with approximately 10% defect rate
out of the box.  

So, we're shopping for a new vendor...
