I recall only one instance of coming close to swearing at school
in the early 70s. Of course I was much younger in those days
and some bad kids in the 3rd Form tried to get me to repeat a
rude little phrase to Mr Hunt, a kindly English teacher of the
Irish persuasion (very much like Dave Allen but older), who
certainly wasn't what they called him. I thought it best not to
follow their directions, even though they were insisting rather
vigourously with the pushings and the "Go on"s

You need the Tories back in mate. No one can take a caning
like a Tory Minister and they'll get it back in vogue
