Customers are almost universally using ICSP during the production test process to put the latest code on the PIC as part of the manufacturing process. Most of the time ICSP can be dealt with without too much trouble. The hardest is when using 10Fs. When the PIC only has 6 pins and 5 of them use used for programming, it becomes a major design consideration. The larger the PIC the easier it is to just dedicate lines for ICSP, or find compatible uses to multiplex the pins with. ***************************************************************** Embed Inc, embedded system specialists in Littleton Massachusetts (978) 742-9014, http://www.embedinc.com -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
