Probably shouldn't be surprised: - Niche microcontroller - Well supported by Parallax - Probably not a hug embedded money-maker for Ubicom anymore - The "guys" of the newer BASICstamps I actually prefer the SX over the PIC (runs for cover). Glad to see it's not just being shelved by the IP owner, and that someone who understands niches (education, hobbyists) gets to pick up where the originator left off. -marc On Fri, 26 Aug 2005, James Newton, Host wrote: > > > > --- > James. > > > -----Original Message----- > From: TestForum@parallax.com [mailto:TestForum@parallax.com] > Sent: 2005 Aug 26, Fri 15:46 > To: jamesnewton@sxlist.com > Subject: [SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool] Important > Notice: > Parallax is now the exclusive SX supplier > > In SX Microcontrollers, SX/B Compiler and SX-Key Tool, kgracey wrote: > > Dear Parallax Customers: > > > We announce today that Parallax is taking full control over the SX chip's > production process, including packaging, test/qualification and support > functions.
