>=20 > On the subject, does anyone know the current draw of the keyboard? Yes, that was something that concerned me too, as I'm building a battery= =20 powered device. I did lots of research on this topic, and came to the=20 conclusion that keyboards draw a LOT of current. The lowest I found so far= =20 was 35 mA. Dell keyboards are actually pretty good, at 75 mA. Most clone=20 keyboards draw 250-300mA. Of course, part of the draw are the LED, so if yo= u=20 make sure the LED are off then the only time the high current is drawn is= =20 when the keyboard boots up (it lights up all three LEDs during that time).= =20 The worst keyboard I found drew 2A. Note that these are all peak draws,=20 specified by the manufacturer. Normal use might be lower. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
