B.t.w, my Wisp628 customer who had the same (or a similar) problem with a 12Fxxx, had to power the PIC and the Wisp628 with two different 7805's. Sometimes the dongle will power down the Wisp628 also, which you don't want, of course. :-) Don't know why, maybe because he built his dongle using another transistor the the one Wouter specifies, I don't know...
