As far as I know they are natural. However, after what I saw of "reconstruction" all over the place I wouldn't be totally sure. One thing I wonder when people access photos on my site is whether they realise these are thumbnails which can be clicked for a larger view. That's pretty standard I know but some click many and some none. One person viewed the Swallow nest full size image so that was probably you (ornl.gov?). Maybe I should add a "click on images for larger view" note. The page is made by a canned page generator so I'd have to post hack it (no great effort but reduces the "instant web page" ease of production.
