The ICD2-target interface is just the programming interface of the chip: ground, mclr, pgc, pgd. The pinout is mentioned in various uChip documentation. Note that the cable between the programmer and the target is inverted (connectors on opposite sides, oen up and one down). Most of my Dwarf Boards have an microchip-compatible programming connector. I guess a lot of other third-party boards have one too. Note that such a connector is not very robuust. > How does that exactly work? serially. read the programming and/or debugging specs. > Does that imply that I would be in need of some more > fancy hardware on the 2nd board? yes, a target PIC :) Wouter van Ooijen -- ------------------------------------------- Van Ooijen Technische Informatica: www.voti.nl consultancy, development, PICmicro products docent Hogeschool van Utrecht: www.voti.nl/hvu -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
