I tried that and still no success. BUT when I disconnected the ICD2 clone it started to work. Doesn't make sense since I had a resistor pulling it to Vdd and a volt meter read 5v but sometimes I just have to take success where I find it. If I have the time I am going to go back and remove the CMCON setup but I need to make some progress. Too much time lost getting no where. Thanks for the suggestion.
