David, before you do any thing I think you should check a few things. 1. download SPYBOT from download.com install and run it this will clean some spyware 2. download ANTISPYWARE from microsoft.com and run it this will clean more spyware 3. go to www.trendmicro.com and let it scan your pc for virus I know you have it your own. it is free online scan and works 4. make sure you have all XP updates SP2 etc. do all of that and let me know if it helped or not.
