At the moment, I'm playing around with an enhanced version of the SX logic analy= ser. The Z80 in the Gameboy is slower (based on clockspeed) but the CPLDs can acquire data much faster than the SX could. It loses its "can be built ou= t of the contents of a junkbox" feature though, which I think was the major attraction of the SX design. Buy an SX, program it, steal a cache RAM out= of an old 386, wire up and go. I'm still surprised it got second place - still, the prize money was very useful for replacing my PC, which literally blew up the day the cheque cleared. Strange how things always seem to break at the most inopportune time. Nice that ISE and EAGLE run bit faster though :) > Welcome to the wonderful world of hosting pages of free informat= ion > on the internet at YOUR cost for ungrateful boobs!=20 >=20 > Of course, if that were totally accurate I wouldn't still be doing it. = There > are some people who are great full and who do show there appreciation: = For > me it is as listed at I've had a few people do that too - "I'm not using it in a commercial environment, but I really like your bootloader, so here's =A310." That certainly helped with the bandwidth bill - I'm paying =A351 a year for tw= o domains, PHP, CGI, a 5MB MySQL database, and 10MB of mail storage on a Li= nux server - if anyone's interested. They're pre= tty clued-up, and tend to respond to queries within an hour, which is never a= bad thing. > - Top posters @20050804 Russell McMahon, olin_piclist, Jinx, Wouter van > Ooijen, Alan B.
